Selectbox

It is a dynamic drop-down list element. We can show the predefined city selection list in an address form as an example.

Adding a Select Box

You can add the Select Box element from the Elements panel by dragging and dropping it to the screen. If you drag it to an empty area on the screen, it is added with the Row element. If you drag it into a column, you just add the Select Box element.

Properties

You can add text inside the Select Box element. You can give role-based authorizations to the element as well as set its visibility with show/hide/conditional options.

VALUE

You can add a static value to the Value field, or you can dynamically bring a value of a state, input element content or an action result.

OPTIONS

This is the section of the data table of the list to be displayed in the drop-down list.

PLACEHOLDER

You can add a helpful/temporary placeholder text for the end user.

ALLOW CLEAR

It is the element that allows the selected value to be cleared with one click.

SEARCHABLE

You can enable search in the drop-down list.

CONTAINS NULL ITEM

The first value of the list can be blank.

SORT BY

You can have the list items sorted alphabetically A-Z or Z-A.

AUTHORIZATION

You can use the authorization options for the Select Box element.

VISIBILITY

You can manage the visibility of the element. It is always visible, hidden, or you can make it appear or hide depending on a condition.

ACTIONS

You can add functions that you can add to the Select Box element with Add Actions.

VALIDATION

You can add validation rule to selectbox element.

Styling

You can further edit the Select Box Element by adding a frame, fill color, border, or shadow.

LAYOUT

In the alignment commands given for rows or columns that are parent elements, the child elements under them are affected. You can visit the Layout page to adjust the visual arrangements such as environmental interior spaces and sizing.

TEXT
